| This butterfly has very attractive patterning especially on the underwings. It was not easy to photograph as it was very skittish and would fly away whenever I got too close. I was quite pleased with this picture which was one of my first successes without using flash.
 Canon A1, 50 mm macro lens, tripod + cable release.
