South Western U.S.A.
[ new section under construction ]
I have long been a fan of the work of Ansel Adams, and in the early 1980's I decided that I really wanted to visit some of the places that he had photographed so beautifully. I saved up my pennies, and in 1982 I was able to take a three week escorted Greyhound bus tour of some of the National Parks of the American South West. I then extended my holiday for a further week by staying - and touring - with relatives living in Colorado.
Unfortunately my own efforts bore little resemblance to Mr Adams', either in quality or location, but I haven't been able to take another such holiday since, so I think my one big trip is worthy of a gallery section of its own...
