| I have always been fascinated by beach sand patterns. As with cloud watching, you can free your imagination and "see" many things in the shapes revealed. Also like clouds, sand patterns are transitory. They will disappear with the next tide and a whole new universe will be revealed. Early morning or late evening sunlight is best to bring out texture and shadow detail.
This patch reminds me of a bare-knuckle fighter, hunkering down behind his clenched fists.
