I had heard that these carniverous sundew plants were to be found in and around marshy areas in the New Forest, near to where I live. It took me a while to find them though, and I was surprised at how small they actually are.
I took many pictures of these fascinating plants, including some showing insects that had become their latest meal, entrapped by the gluey leaf tips. This more abstract offering, with the sunlight refracting through the halos formed by the out of focus glue drops, remains my favourite.
