Southampton's new multi-level West Quay shopping centre could be described as small but perfectly formed. Having recently bought a 17-40 mm wide angle lens for my 1Ds I decided to try it out within the main atrium area as there is plenty of interesting lighting and detail here to test such a lens.
I had just about finished when I was approached by a security guard, who politely informed me that taking photographs within West Quay is prohibited because of the Data Protection Act. This Act concerns data that identifies living individuals, which is certainly possible in the highly detailed shots captured by this camera even with a wide angle lens. I am therefore unable to offer these pictures as full-size prints in the Print Shop. However I feel safe in including these images in my gallery as individuals can not be identified at the reduced picture size.
